Callan & The Community
My roots in Port Moody run deep. I have lived in this amazing city for 23 years. I attended high school here, grew up here, met my wonderful wife Jessica at Golden Spike Days, and bought my first home in beautiful Newport Village.
This city has given so much to me, and I have done everything I can to give back. Jessica and I support local charities and youth sports associations, and I have coached minor lacrosse in the community for the past seven years. I have been an active member of several civic committees, including Parks and Recreation, Traffic and Safety, Arts and Culture, the Community Planning Advisory Committee (CPAC), and the Advisory Design Panel (ADP). Port Moody isn't just where we made our home, it's where we established our award-winning business, Squish Juicery. As both a resident and a business owner, I am invested in creating a better future for this city.
For two decades, I have been part of this community, working side by side with you to make it more welcoming, equitable, vital, and resilient. I promise to bring accountability, dedication, and honesty to Port Moody City Council, and with your help, I know we can make positive change happen together.
In the community
Callan Morrison is a strong advocate for local small businesses in the community. At the 2022 Tri-Cities Chamber Business Excellence Awards, Callan and Jessica won the Small business of the year Award. Callan used this opportunity to advocate for small businesses and spoke directly to our local, provincial, and federal leaders to continue to support and help small businesses by creating policies that relieve pressure due to the pandemic and inflation.
Callan Morrison has been a lacrosse coach for over 13 years. The past 7 have been coaching Port Moody Lacrosse kids. Callan is a passionate volunteer and gives back to his community. Teamwork is key to success in lacrosse, and in life and he is hoping to bring his teambuilding skills as a coach to our city council. He is proud to have received the endorsement from both PORT MOODY LACROSSE ASSOCIATION and PORT MOODY MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION for this election.
Callan Morrison has been a multi year volunteer with BC Childrens Hospital and has volunteered not only as Sunny Bear at multiple events, but also was a part of the Miracle Maker Panel for the BCCHF Telethon, and also as part of the Santa Claus Parade. Callan, his wife Jessica, and their small business have supported dozens of charities and youth sporting associations over the years. Their main charities however are The Looking Glass Foundation for Eating Disorders, I am Someone – Let's end Bullying, and Pink Shirt Day.
